Google Earth and World Wind Clients

Geographical information can be visualized in many clients, including novel 3D clients. The Support to External Security Unit provides many of its mapping and modelling products compatible with these clients.

DMAExplorer

The geographical data of the JRC Digital Map Archive covers satellite imagery, topographic data and thematic data for many applications. This data can interactively be navigated using the DMA web map system.

There are 2D or 3D viewers available. The DMAExplorer is an in house customized 2D viewer.

Metadata Catalogue

Some of the datasets used in the Digital Map Archive or in maps produced in the SES unit are available for consultation in the metadata catalogue.

Global Atlas

Crisis or event specific maps and analysis are available through the Global Atlas catalogue. This service is currently only available to European Commission officials.

However, part of the catalogue is available to the public

Project Mapping Systems

Mapping of projects, actions or interventions is a frequent requirement for many Directorate Generals and other organisations. Critech designed several solutions for this, ranging from static maps (and tools to generate them) to dynamically updated maps.
