The Digital Map Archive databases can be accessed by computer programs and websites using web service interfaces. DMA offers standard and non-standard interfaces to maps and mapping services, analysis services and more.

Below is a list of web services we developed. These are mostly for use within the European Commission or with partners. If you're interested in using one, please contact us.

Exploratory services

Google interface: DMA maps can be integrated in Google Earth for 3D viewing.
NASA World Wind: DMA maps can be integrated in NASA World Wind for 3D viewing.

Available web services

Maps can be integrated in your own applications using WMS and customized interfaces (DirectMap). This gives access to the complete DMA archive.
The Fuzzy Gazetteer has an XML interface, which allows it to be integrated in any application.
